Before I discovered my passion for coding, I spent my time on other things. I have been self-employed since 2014.

With a technical foundation rooted in a Master of Science degree from the Eindhoven University of Technology’s Building Engineering program, I bring a solution-driven and pragmatic approach to every project. Specializing in Building Physics cultivated my analytical and mathematical skills, sharpening my ability to break down complex challenges into practical, effective solutions. I thrive in problem-solving environments, where my passion for tackling puzzles aligns seamlessly with programming. This background enables me to approach coding with the same precision and curiosity, transforming abstract ideas into structured, impactful Python applications.

As an expert in Fire Safety at The Fire Firm, I advise manufacturers of passive fire protection products about their testing and certification programmes. And I assist fire testing institutes with performing fire resistance tests and implementing new test methods.

I have been vegan since 2006 and very passionately so. For ethical reasons but also for health benefits. In my blog On the Vegab Trail I write posts about being vegan and traveling, also one of my passions.
